Air quality monitoring

Air Overwatch: the IoT station for air quality monitoring

Air Overwatch is a professional IoT station designed by Pulse S.r.l. that measures up to four critical air parameters, including CO₂, NH₃, CH₄, PM2.5 and PM10, and streams them in real time to an analysis platform that raises alerts and suggests actions. It is for those who run livestock farms, greenhouses, agro-industrial plants and cultural sites and need to know immediately when the air goes out of range.

  • air quality monitoring
  • environmental IoT station
  • CO₂ NH₃ CH₄ sensors
  • PM2.5 and PM10
  • real-time environmental alerts
  • livestock air monitoring
  • greenhouse air quality
  • cultural heritage conservation
  • off-grid LoRaWAN

What it does

It continuously measures the parameters chosen for the context and compares them with the configured thresholds. When a value crosses the limit, the alert comes with a description of the reading, a risk assessment and suggested actions: from high ammonia in a barn to particulate spikes in a museum room, the warning comes before the damage.

All data is kept: full history, interactive charts, configurable aggregation windows and report export for environmental audits, certifications and reporting.

How it works

The station acquires the parameters and transmits them via SIM, Wi-Fi or LoRaWAN to the Terra Hub platform, where they are stored, aggregated and analysed by the decision-support module. There is no integration to build: dashboards, historical analysis and alerts are ready to use.

It is built for the field: a solar panel with buffer battery to run without mains power, remotely updatable firmware, configurable transmission frequency, installation without specialised staff and minimal maintenance.

Who it is for

Air Overwatch is built for two complementary roles.

  • Managers: farmers, livestock managers, greenhouse operators, agro-industrial warehouses and cultural sites. They receive alerts, check conditions remotely and document compliance with the parameter history.
  • Analysts: agronomists, environmental technicians, veterinarians and conservators. They read historical data, correlate parameters to find root causes and turn measurements into operational recommendations.

Key features

Configurable multi-parameter

Up to four parameters per station among CO₂, CO, NH₃, H₂S, CH₄, TVOC, VOC, PM2.5 and PM10: a barn has different needs from a greenhouse or a museum.

Off-grid autonomy

Solar panel with integrated buffer battery: it works without mains power, in open fields, remote sites and buildings without wiring.

Multi-connectivity

Data SIM, Wi-Fi or LoRaWAN, with transmission frequency configurable to operational needs.

Native Terra Hub integration

Data reaches Terra Hub in real time: dashboards, historical analysis and decision-support modules with no custom integration.

Smart alerts

Every alert carries a description of the reading, a risk assessment and suggested actions, before the problem becomes irreversible.

Simple installation, minimal maintenance

Latest-generation microcontroller, remote firmware updates, ruggedness designed for agricultural and industrial environments.

Application sectors

  • Livestock farming (NH₃, CH₄, CO₂)
  • Greenhouses and protected horticulture (CO₂, TVOC, humidity)
  • Agro-industrial storage (VOC, H₂S, PM)
  • Digesters and biogas plants (CH₄, H₂S, CO₂)
  • Cultural heritage conservation (CO₂, PM2.5, humidity)
  • Urban and environmental monitoring (PM2.5, PM10, CO)
  • Industry and production sites (VOC, NH₃, CO)
  • Smart farming and precision agriculture

Frequently asked questions

Which parameters does Air Overwatch measure?

Up to four parameters per station, chosen among CO₂, CO, NH₃, H₂S, CH₄, TVOC, VOC, PM2.5 and PM10. The configuration depends on the context: livestock, greenhouse, storage, museum.

Does it work without mains power and network?

Yes. Power is solar with a buffer battery and transmission can use the cellular network via SIM or LoRaWAN, so the station works in open fields and remote sites.

Do I need a technician to install it?

No. The station is designed to be installed without specialised staff and needs minimal routine maintenance; firmware updates happen remotely.

Where do I see data and alerts?

In the Terra Hub platform, with dashboards, historical charts and report export. Alerts come with a description, a risk level and suggested actions.

Is it suitable for museums and archives?

Yes. With CO₂, PM2.5 and humidity it monitors conservation conditions in exhibition rooms, storage and archives, with the history needed for documentation.
